- Mother and Baby Support Group
- Through this project we support a total of 19 HIV-positive mothers and their babies.
- Murals Brighten Lives
- For several months our team accompanied one of our volunteers, Nyx Martinez to the main government hospital in Kampala.
- Mother's Club Activities
- In the past few months the local clinic referred more mothers to our Mother's Club for young HIV-positive mothers and their babies. We now have 17 mothers and babies, and it is encouraging to see them able to talk about their status and make short-term and long-term plans.
- Christmas/year-end party for orphanages and the disabled
- In conjunction with our Family Care office in Port Harcourt, which has a performance group for children, we organized a special Christmas party at the Enugu Cheshire Home for teenagers with polio. We also invited the three orphanages we work with in the region to attend.
- Ibadan End-of-Year Programmes
- In Ibadan we checked on all our programmes and training courses that were running for the year, making sure that all was in order and ready to restart in 2007. We also held Christmas parties for the Ibadan School for the Deaf and a home for underprivileged, handicapped, and street children.
- Educational and Community Support, Enugu and Ufuma, Anambra State
- In collaboration with volunteers from Family Care's Port Harcourt office, we again donated food, clothing, and other items (which included much needed baby formula for the infants) to our partner orphanages: Guardian Angels Motherless Babies Home, Holy Child Motherless Babies Home, and DDL Orphana
- Lagos Christmas Party for Underprivileged Children
- Christmas started early this year for over 300 children from orphanages, remand (detention) homes, handicapped centres, and schools throughout Lagos State.
- Enugu State and Project Kaduna
- Enugu State Several boxes of high-quality Fisher Price toys were recently donated to Family Care in support of our orphanage support projects, which we delivered to three of our partner orphanages in Enugu State.
